More Fantasy Fiction

Finished another Lynn Flewelling novel Hidden Warrior. It is the second in the series and I'll be getting the 3rd shortly as the series is that good. Swords and sorcery, a real battle between the sexes. Some of the good and bad guys start getting what they deserve in this one. These are very nice reads while i wait for the next George R R Martin and the next Harry Potter.

Several with Spoilers

I have read several books this past week. Here they are in the order that i liked them. Artemis Fowl: The Lost Colony by Eoin Colfer. 5th in the series for kids. I really liked this one the best of them all. Artemis started as an incredibly unlikable kid and over the course of his adventures and by growing up 2 years he has become a great character and also a very good person. This one was constant action. Artemis and crew are trying to stop time and space disintegration which will cause an island full of demons (who aren't exactly hellish) to appear on Earth. It does have a great setup at the end for the next novel. I also liked Kushiel's Chosen by Jacqueline Carey. The first book in the series was good (i finished that one about 2 weeks ago) and i just got the third today from amazon. This one was a little quieter than the first with less sex. I do like the religion system in the novels. It has loose connections to Christianity but much is more liberal and has m
