RIP IV- The RIPpening!!!!
Ok, so I was going to use "Carl Takes Manhattan" but we've got to wait for part 8 for that!
WOW, i'm having a hard time realizing 3/4 of a year has gone by. Seriously, i had plans for this year that just keep slipping by. Oh well. For RIP i'll be reading at least 4 of the following:
WOW, i'm having a hard time realizing 3/4 of a year has gone by. Seriously, i had plans for this year that just keep slipping by. Oh well. For RIP i'll be reading at least 4 of the following:
- Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen
- Marked by PC Cast
- Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer
- Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer
- The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova- cheating here, i started this LAST year and haven't finished yet
- The Monsters: Mary Shelley and the Curse of Frankenstein by Dorothy Hoobler- a non-fiction book about the attendees of that famous summer house party
- I've also got the last 3 Gardella Vampire books to read!
So my RIP will be a bit vampire heavy but if i do get through 4 of these that will be great help on my personal challenge. and probably a couple to sell back to McKay's!
My list is vampire heavy as well. I've also got Mary Shelley and the Curse of Frankenstein on my list. I just love Frankenstein. :) I noticed you've got Pride & Prejudice & Zombies on your list. Do you know about the short story, Pride & Prometheus? It's free and it's online. It's by John Kessler?.
ReplyDeleteMy first R.I.P. review, coming soon, will be a vampire book. Beware, your vampire list may get a bit heavier. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you in being in awe of how fast the year has slipped by. I had to laugh when I read that you had plans for this year because I can so relate to that. I did too...so much for plans!
Thanks for joining up again this year, it is wonderful to have you.
I am glad to see so many people having the Historian on their lists! (i read it last year and enjoyed it)
ReplyDeletePride & Prejudice & Zombies is excellent!
ReplyDeleteBecky- I hadn't seen the short story, i'll have to read it.
ReplyDeleteCarl- your challenges are always fun. I really like the banner this year.
Deslily- It's nice to get a good opinion on it. I got about halfway through last year and just never finished. Just didn't grab me. I'm going to finish it out.
Amanda- happy reading!
Thanks Mel, I thought it turned out to fit really well. It was pretty last minute as I was agonizing about what to do and then inspiration arose. So happy Jennifer Gordon decided to be a part of it!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy The Monsters more than I did. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteVampires are awfully good this time of year. I'm really interested in the "Mary Shelley and Curse of Frankenstein" you listed. Happy creepy reading!
